June 2022
Dear Fifth Graders,
I am very excited to have you in my class in September! You survived a more conventional year in fourth grade and are now more than prepared to face the challenges ahead! It will be a year filled with lots of new experiences!
I am not going to lie to you, there will be some tough days, but I can also promise you that you will have fun and more importantly, you will learn a lot. Remember that you will now be on the fifth floor with the middle school, and I will treat you like the mature fifth graders you are. I expect you to be independent, problem solvers, explorers, adventurers, writers, philosophers, scientists, and mathematicians.
My expectations are simple: come to class prepared to work and contribute, complete your assignments daily, do your homework every day, be respectful of each other and me, and ALWAYS ask for help when you need it. I will always be there to help you, but I also expect you to be able to help yourself as well.
Summer Assignments:
