Recruiting Excellence in Academics for Catholic High Schools (REACH) students spend 37 of their summer days in an intensive leadership and academic summer program. The first three weeks are a residential learning academy at Fordham University and the University of Scranton. The second three are comprised of a day program at Regis High School. Students also commit to 21 Saturdays of additional learning during the school year. Among other institutions, REACH graduates have gone on to attend Boston College, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, MIT, Princeton, Notre Dame, and Williams College.
"REACH has pushed me to grow and to be open to new things that I hadn't done before. I am looking at what decisions now (for high school) will provide me with the most options later in life." -- Gabriel Martinez, 8th Grade
"In the last three years my level of maturity has grown and I've become a better learner. I am applying to Regis, Xavier, and Fordham. Ultimately, I want to go into the medical field to help others." -- Bryant Paulino, 8th Grade
"REACH changed my mindset on education and helped me see the fun in learning. You have to challenge yourself - if you don't - you won't grow. If you are afraid, you won't move forward. I am interested in coding and becoming a software engineer." -- Armando Hernandez, 7th Grade
"REACH works based on 5 core values. For me, being intellectually skillful and using this to help others is something I apply daily. It has taught me to be selfless while helping others in need." -- Joshua Chambers, 6th Grade
"This has been a wonderful experience for the last 3 years. Not only am I a better student, I am also a better person. I've become more outgoing. I am dedicated to continuing my education and potentially going to business school. I am interested in running my own business." -- Michael Guerrero, 8th Grade
